- Advert

2) What is the purpose of this form of media?
- To advertise and persuade the public to buy 'Quality Street'.

3) What product does this try to sell?
- They are trying to sell a box of chocolate.

4) How does it try to sell the product to the audience?
- The company tries to sell the product by only showing the 3 most prefered types of chocolate out of the 18 different types.
- They also use a motto 'what a delicious dilemma' to emphasise the image that has been shown in the advert.

5) Does it use any stereotypes?
-The advert uses the stereotype of a wealthy man who owns the means of production as in the 1950s chocolate was only seen to be for the rich.

6) Identify any technical codes.
- The use of the image with two ladies giving their attention to on man and his chocolate at the same time.
- The use of the text to include details about their chocolate and motto in order to draw the audiences attention.
- The use of layout as it spreads out the 3 different types of chocolate and the description of the product.

7) Identify any visual codes (denotation and connotation)
- Patriarchy (the man owns the chocolate and has the women by his side which can represent the inequality between Men and Women as the man is in control of everything).
